Overcoming Approval addiction

A Prayer For Approval Addiction

You can be addicted to a lot of different things like alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and even food. But did you know you can also be addicted to approval? When Moses chose seventy leaders to help govern Israel, he told them, ‘Do not show partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. Though it pains me to actually document my brokenness and sin in this prayer, the same liberating gospel you entrusted to Paul gives me the sweet freedom to do so. When we confess our sins to you, we’re not informing you of anything, Father, for you already know everything! We’re just acknowledging where we want the God of resurrection to bring...
