Prayers for Healing

We are all in need of healing, so we should all be praying for healing! But what does that mean and what does it truly look like? In this post, we hope to answer some of these questions. We’ll also be taking a look at some content from the Lifehacks Bible that’s super helpful.

How Do I Pray For Healing?

First, let’s talk about who we are praying for. We can pray for healing for ourselves, for people we love, for groups of people we may or may not know, and the entire world. We can confidently pray for healing for everyone because everyone has been hurt before and everyone needs God’s deliverance.

Healing Looks Different for Everyone

When we talk about praying for healing, we could also call it “praying for deliverance”. Ultimately, we are praying to be rescued or set free from our affliction. This extends then to not just physical ailments, but emotional, relational, and honestly, anything that doesn’t align with Shalom. The peaces of God, the way things were supposed to be, shalom.

 Psalm147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Prayer

Almighty God, you are the only source of health and healing. In you there is calm, and the only true peace in the universe. Grant to each one of us your children an awareness of your presence, and give us perfect confidence in you. In all pain and weariness and anxiety teach us to yield ourselves to your never-failing care, knowing that your love and power surround us, trusting in your wisdom and providence to give us health and strength and peace when your time is best; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Prayer For Healing And Wholeness

Dear Lord, I know that You are a God Who heals all manner of sickness and illness through the power of Your Holy Spirit. I ask that by His power, You would send healing and wholeness to all who are afflicted at this time with illnesses and diseases.

Send comfort and strength at this time of difficulty. In Jesus’ precious name,

 A Healing Prayer For A Friend In Pain

Heavenly Father, please look down with compassion on my friend who has been confined to a bed of sickness and is in such great physical pain. Send comfort and healing I pray, and in Your gracious kindness, please strengthen and heal whatever the problem is that has caused this illness in their body. In Jesus name I pray,

Prayer For Personal Healing

Heavenly Father, I know that my times are in Your hands and I also believe that You care about everything in my life. In Your sovereignty, You are not surprised by anything that happens to any of Your children. I believe that You make all things work together for the good of us that love You. I believe that You care for each one of us with a perfect and holy love.

 I come to You today because my health has been deteriorating with some ailment that has not been diagnosed. I am not sure what to do, but I know that You understand everything about me. I believe that You know exactly what I need to bring me back to full health and strength and I am trusting You in this time of illness in my life.

 Please God, I ask for Your healing touch on my life, and pray that You would bring to my attention the treatment that is best suited for my condition. Please direct me in the way that I should go at this difficult time in my life. Thank You, Father, in Jesus’ name I pray,

Prayer Of Protection Those With Dementia

Heavenly Father, look down in pity and mercy on all that are suffering with the illness of dementia. Father, we know that although our loved ones may not recognise the family and friends who love them dearly, Your Holy Spirit can commune with their human spirit in a unique and Godly way, which must be very precious to Your heart. Thank You, Father, that in the power of Your Holy Spirit, You can touch the heart of those that have lost the memories of those that are their nearest and dearest.

 Father, I ask Your protection on those that are suffering with this debilitating mental disease and pray that You will minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of those we love, with all forms of this mental illness.

Comfort those that feel excluded from a loved one with dementia, in the knowledge that Your grace is sufficient. In Jesus’ name,    Amen.

Prayer for God’s healing hand against CORONA VIRUS

To our brothers and sisters who have contracted

and are suffering due to the Coronavirus Disease,

we pray that God’s healing hand may rest upon you.

To medical doctors, nurses and the supporting staff

who are in the frontline of the fight against COVID-19,

may the Good Lord sustain you and inspire you

to render your life-saving services with due care, love and compassion.

To all those who have lost their loved ones due to the Coronavirus outbreak,

we convey our deepest sympathies.

We pray that their souls, through God’s mercy, may rest in eternal peace.

We pray that God may grant all bereaved families his consolation and strengthen their faith and hope in Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord.
